STRUCTURAL TANKING
Tanking Solutions
Subterranean Moisture Protection for Below-Grade Concrete & Infrastructure
Structures built below natural ground level face continuous hydrostatic water pressure. Water forced through subterranean concrete joints, masonry seams, or lift shaft bases causes severe structural deterioration, flooding, and mold growth.
supersystems specialises in heavy-duty structural tanking—applying technical two-coat cementitious barrier systems designed to hold back positive and negative water pressure in below-grade environments.
Cementitious Tanking Technology
Our structural tanking systems utilise specialised cementitious slurry coatings that migrate into the concrete pore structure, forming a permanent crystallised barrier against water penetration.
- High Pressure Resistance: Engineered to resist both positive (water pushing against the coating) and negative (water pushing from behind the coating) hydrostatic pressure.
- Reinforcement Protection: Prevents moisture and airborne salts from reaching embedded steel rebar, stopping concrete cancer and structural fatigue.
- Breathable Barrier: Allows water vapour to escape while completely blocking liquid water transmission.
Key Structural Applications
- Lift shaft base cavities and pits
- Underground multi-level car parks
- Retaining walls and subterranean basements
- Engineered fishponds, fountains, and architectural water features
